I am so thrilled with how many of you are blogging your spelling! Keep it up!! However, I am changing this assignment. Now, I want you to write a short story or paragraph using as many of your spelling words as possible. You can write in personal narrative, imaginary narrative, or non-fiction styles. I will be looking for you to use the words correctly and show what the words means through your writing. Remember C.O.P.S.!!!

Check out these cool animals!
Click on the link below. Check out an animal of your choice from the website. Then come back to this blog and type a comment about your experience. Be sure to tell us which animal you learned about, what you learned, and what you thought was really cool about the animal. For added bonus, comment on the ways the animal adapts to its environment.

Add On Story
For this blog, I will write the beginning of the story. When you type your comment, you should add on to the story from where the last person left off. Each of you are adding details and events to make the story. After everyone has added to the story, I will write the ending. It is very important that you read all comment posts before you, to be sure the story flows and makes sense. Remember, add on to the story as it is written. Do not try to write a new story.
The Crazy Egg Day
By: Mrs. Holcomb's Class
"Beep, beep, beep," was the sound my alarm made that woke me up on that crazy, crazy day. Little did I know, as I rose from bed, that this day would bring such a great adventure. I started normally, got dressed, and brushed my teeth. As I went to put on my shoes, I noticed under my bed was an unusual oval shaped object I had never seen before. "It's time to go! You're going to be late," my mom yelled.

Welcome to Fourth Grade!
Hello Students!
I am very excited about being at Rand Road this school year! I have been teaching in Wake County for 11 years, with the last eight years teaching fourth grade. I am married and we have two children, Alex and Emma. Alex is in second grade here at Rand Road. My daughter, Emma, was born on April 2 this past spring. I have three dogs and one cat at my house.
I would like to know more about you. Click on the comments link and tell me about yourself. Be sure to only use your first name when blogging.
